1000 MIGLIA: THE THIRD STAGE STOPS IN MONTERIGGIONI.
THE VINTAGE CARS ARE SURROUNDED BY BREATHTAKING LANDSCAPES AND THE HEAT OF CHILDREN
Monteriggioni, 18 May 18th 2018 - The third stage of the 1000 Miglia, started in the early morning from Rome, arrived in Monteriggioni for lunch break. The morning way was characterized by a multitude of emotions, from the breathtaking landscapes to the warmth of many children on the roadsides. The sun and the spring temperature have made the atmosphere even more engaging for onlookers passionate and curious.
After the start of the stage from the capital, the vintage cars passed through Ronciglione, Lago di Vico, Viterbo, Radicofani and Siena, in one of the historical routes most appreciated by Red Arrow lovers.
Regarding the leaderboard, the fight for the top positions continues among the favorites. The Argentineans Juan Tonconogy and Barbara Ruffini played with the 1933 Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 GS "Testa Fissa"; the outgoing champions of 2016 and 2017, the Bresciani Andrea Vesco and Andrea Guerini on board of the 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato; Giovanni Moceri and Daniele Bonetti with the 1928 Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 SS; Andrea Belometti and Doriano Vavassori with the 1929 Lancia Lambda VIII Casaro series; Gianmario Fontanella and Anna Maria Covelli with the 1927 Lancia Lambda VII Casaro series.
